Are you a service-oriented person who is passionate about providing 'that little extra'? Join Stena Line's wonderful Check-in team this summer and welcome our guests for their journey with us! Summer is our absolute peak season and hundreds of thousands of guests travel with us from Gothenburg to Frederikshavn and Kiel. To strengthen our check-in departments at Masthugget and Majnabbe, we are therefore looking for seasonal workers during the summer. We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in providing top-class service to our travelers.
Different Roles in Our Team
We have various roles within our team, below you can read more about each role:
Frontline
In Frontline, you are the face of our guests as they arrive at the terminal. Your task is to provide them with world-class service while welcoming and assisting them with everything from booking/selling trips to check-in and boarding at departure. The job also includes answering questions from our guests at the counter and via email.
Freight Check-in
As a Freight Check-in agent, you check in and out our freight units and drivers arriving at our ports. You also work with sales and booking of goods and freight units. Here too, the job involves administrative tasks between departures and preparatory work for the next departure.
Car Check-in
As a Car Check-in agent, you take care of our guests traveling with vehicles. You check them in, board them, and sell tickets to our guests. You work closely with other operational departments such as the quay and ship to ensure everything runs smoothly. You answer questions and ensure a positive start to the travel experience. Between departures, you work on various administrative tasks and prepare for the next departure.
Quay Host
As a Quay Host, you take care of our guests traveling with vehicles and guide them correctly; the quay is your main workplace in all weather. In addition to directing our travelers to the right path, you also answer questions and contribute to a positive start to the travel experience. Between departures, you work on various administrative tasks and keep the quay area clean and tidy.

Your Must-Haves:
- Previous work experience in the travel industry, logistics, or service
- Can and want to work flexibly on a shift schedule (day, evening, and night shifts) and with varying tasks
- High school education
- At least 18 years old
- Driver's license B
- Good knowledge of Swedish and English; additional languages such as German and Danish are a big plus!
Interested?
The positions are seasonal employments at 75-100% during the period from mid-June to the end of August 2026. There is also the possibility to start in the spring for those who are available. The work involves varying working hours every day of the week. Please note that we will not grant any vacation during this period; however, you will have days off in your varying shift schedule. As we will be recruiting continuously, you are welcome to submit your application as soon as possible, but no later than March 18, 2026.
